Mid-June Recap.

{Up Millcreek Canyon, after hiking the Pipeline Trail}

Since returning from D.C., life has been full of all sorts of exciting summertime events.

Here is a recap of the last week or so...

Last Sunday Greg and I went on a hike up Millcreek Canyon. We hiked 6 miles, saw a 3 foot long snake, stopped for grape Slurpees on the way home, and then made some seriously good tacos for dinner.

The hike was fun, running into a 3 foot long snake was not.

{At Lagoon}

Most of our Saturdays are spent at Lagoon. Having season passes and little kids with lots of energy makes Lagoon pretty convenient.

The fact that I live down the street from Lagoon is also pretty convenient.

{That will be changing soon though.}

{Thomas, Isabelle & Nathaniel in line for the White Roller Coaster}

Thomas has been loving every minute of t-ball!

Two nights a week are spent at his games - so that keeps me, Thomas and Izzie on the go. I must admit though, there is something nostalgic about spending warm summer nights at a ball game.

Thomas is a natural when it comes to sports! Being a part of a t-ball team has been so good for my little guy!

GO GIANTS!!

{Beautiful flowers from Greg}

On Wednesday afternoon there was a knock on my door - SURPRISE! Beautiful flowers from Greg, just because.

Just because flowers are the best.

They look so pretty sitting on my kitchen table, and I feel happy every time I see them.

Greg is so thoughtful; he's the best.

{Isabelle & Thomas}

Thomas, Isabelle and I are big fans of the Kaysville Theater. Perhaps it's because it was built in the 1940's and not much has changed since then. We love seeing movies there, and last week we saw Mirror Mirror and shared a giant popcorn and a coke.

We had the best time!

When we're not out and about, summer days can get kind of long and boring at home. It was a very good thing Isabelle spotted this 'Alien Ooze' in the dollar section at Target.

Izzie chose pink, Thomas chose green.

Best $2.00 I ever spent.

'Alien Ooze' has provided my children with hours of endless slimy oozy entertainment!

{Thomas, Nat & Isabelle on the train ride at Lagoon yesterday}

Predictably, yesterday was spent at Lagoon.

Again.

Today {Sunday} Thomas, Isabelle and I celebrated Father's day with my Dad and family. I'll post on that later though. We had a wonderful Father's Day today! We love you Dad/Grandpa!

June has been a good month so far. May was awesome {karma was good!} but June is even better.

We are loving our summer - snakes, Slurpees, slime and all.

{O.K., so maybe we're not loving the snake... but anytime spent hiking up Millcreek Canyon with my sweetheart is good!}
